A Solid-State Transformer (SST) is an advanced intelligent power conversion device integrating power electronic converters, semiconductor switches and high-frequency transformers. Different from conventional line-frequency transformers that rely purely on passive electromagnetic induction at 50/60 Hz, SST realizes voltage transformation, galvanic isolation and controllable energy transmission via multi-stage power conversion.
